I would like to know if one of our government pension investments is in the tobacco industry.

Following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that we do not hold the information you have requested.

A pension scheme may be required to publish a ‘Statement of Investment Principles’ (found on the pension provider’s website), which details the policies controlling how it invests. This includes consideration of financially material Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Climate factors and may contain some information about investment in the tobacco industry.
If there is a specific pension scheme you want to know more about, I would recommend going to their website and searching for information on how they invest your money.
