We try to provide as much information as we can. However, there may be circumstances where we cannot provide information publicly. These situations include (but are not limited to) cases where to provide such information might compromise investigative work, prejudice the right of defendants to a fair trial, or cause avoidable reputational damage or harm to individuals or businesses under investigation.
All updates are considered carefully on a case by case basis. In practice the amount of information we can provide, particularly about cases which are in the investigation stage, is usually very restrictive.
